Can textbook.com be trusted to buy used textbooks from?

-You know, I looked at the site and it appeared to be legit. I called their 'contact us' phone number and that seemed professional enough. It was an automated system, and I was too impatient to wait for an 'agent'. The only thing that caught my eye was that the contact e-mail was just a generic e-mail form which is typical of scam sites.



So I was GOING TO give it an OK . . .



BUT then I tried one last thing.

There's a website called w w w.c o m p l a i n t s b o a r d. c o m, and sure enough there are LOTS of complaints about that site.



So now I reverse course and say, "stay away".
