Is getting the CFA and MBA going to add a big value for me in the industry of investment and banking ?

-Is getting both of those qualifications in addtion to 3 years experience in investment or banking going to add big value for me in the industry and improve my salary or income ?Yes, the titles will mean something to those familiar with the titles and what they stand for. To the clients of yours who you are, or are potentially going to be dealing with-most of them will have no idea what specifically what these titles mean. All they will know is that you have definitely continued your training and have "half an idea' of that which it is that you are talking about.

To clients who you are working with on a commission basis -titles are a good thing.

To folks desiring to possibly be hiring you based on letters behind your name ...? There is a WHOLE lot more that comes into play on that score, besides just the level of certification/recognition you have attained.

So, honestly, folks that would be direct customers of yours like to see "DDS" on a dentists business card. They like to see "degrees" and titles after names and (good or bad) they may not say something about it vocally-but they do notice.

One of the things I noticed, when in the financial/insurance business, was (actually) the MORE letters I had after my name, the more the customers/clients assumed that I "REALLY" knew what I was talking about-financially wise -and wouldn't question things that I talked about. Good or bad, that was my experience. Just because of the 'length of financail certification letters' after my name.

Have you thought about, or looked into the "CFP" designation (or do you already have?) the "CFP" designation ?

Good luck !
