What does processed through Sort Facility mean for USPS?

I live in Dallas, TX. How much longer until I receive my package?That means that the package is on its way from San Jose to Dallas and it has cleared the sorting facility in San Jose. When it arrives in Dallas it will say it has been processed through the Dallas sorting facility and it will also say "on the truck for delivery" the day its delivered.Processed through sort facility means they have read the address on the package and now know where to send it to, and it's on its way.



It'll probably take several days to get to you, maybe 3? It's hard to say for sure since it's first class which isn't supposed to be ultra-fast.
It means it was mailed at the San Jose post office yesterday.



You may get it Monday. Probably Tuesday.
